Who should take this class?
Although the class is designed for those who have no experience with filmmaking,
this class should also be taken by anyone who does not have professional experience.
We introduce techniques, processes and terminology that is not generally used by
amateur filmmakers. Please see the concept list and syllabus for more information.
Description:
Over 10 weeks, students will be taken through an overview of the five phases of the filmmaking process. Students will produce a 3-5 minute short film from start to finish. The course does not require any previous experience with filmmaking. By the end of the course, students will have sufficient knowledge of the moviemaking process to plan and execute their own productions. This is a fun, intense class and students should budget several hours per week to work on your project.
