David Albright, an alumni of the Northwest Film School, has won the video production contract for the WNBA Seattle Storm. Albright has been producing video for the Storm for the past two years but just recently became the principal producer of their video content. Congratulations, David.

Congratulations to Mike Barbero, current student of the video production program. KISM Radio recently announced Western student Michael Barbero won the first competition for the best promotional piece for the Northwest Projections Film Festival. The competition was in conjunction with promotion for the KISM Morning Show with Brad and John. Barbero, a student in WWU’s video production certificate program, crafted a video commercial for the festival that was “creative, humorous and direct” according to Carol Dooley, program director for KISM. She noted that the standard of quality and the number of entries was much higher than expected. Dooley said Barbero’s piece was chosen because it conveyed a strong message in a subtle way. The winning entry was shown on KVOS Television and at Northwest Projections.
